Filming day 4

Today we filmed the car scene and my group and I had troubles filming the birds eye view part however we did our best and although it rained we came prepared with umbrellas so the camera doesn't get wet and also our main shots were inside a car so that was not a problem. We ended up finishing quite quickly as we stuck to our story board so there wasn't any problems. All in all we got some good shots that we will be editing soon

Equipment booking form 2

This is our second booking form as we will be taking our the camera again to film our car scene on the 28th. My group and I all have signed this,

Editing day 2

Today we uploaded the footage we last shot and renamed the files according to their locations, we also converted our files so that they weren't so big.

Justin Bieber - Sorry

In this music Video, there is not a narrative at all and is based solely on performance. This is something my group and I would be implementing into our music video.

Filming day 3

On day 3 of filming, we were filming the main parts of our chorus and the photography studio had a black backdrop so we couldn't film our idea of the silhouette so we made do with what we had and filmed with the lighting of our choice. We then moved to the TV studio and ended up using the projector there for background colors and I think it turned out pretty well.

Filming Day 2

Today was our second day of filming and we decided to film what was originally our Hyde park scene however we used the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park instead because we decided as a group that it would be more practical to film there and it had better scenery. We also went into a firework shop to purchase some sparklers for our recording and after a long time of trying to light them. We finally got it and got some good footage.

Filming day one

Today was our first day filming and we decided to shoot the scenes where our actress sings the chorus and various other parts of the song. We all met early so we could get a lot of footage in and we checked the weather forecast before hand to see if it would be raining Luckily it wasn't.

Influences for music video

Track One: Beyonce Broken hearted girl

This music video has had some input in inspiring me when shooting my own music video. The car scene where beyonce pulls up and then cuts to a close up of her face. This will be something that I will be implementing in my music video. Also, when beyonce was in the car there was scenes of her reminiscing  what she had with the male actor. We would like to take this idea and change it slightly to fit in with our narrative and make the male actor in our music video and the girl he is with have a good time. This will apply better to our music video. We will be using the black and white effect for this scene as well. This will make our music video show the contrast that were trying to portray.

Track Two: Rihanna And Kanye West & Paul McCartney - Four Five Seconds

This music has influenced our music video with the camera technique. The black silhouette of a mid shot of rihanna is something that me and my group will be using in our music video. This idea is something that will make our music video look more professional and artistically thought out. The simplicity of the music video is what has inspired us the most because they don't have to over do anything in the music video. But instead just sing the song and keep it simple. The Camera angles like the mid shot and close ups to show facial expressions has inspired us to implement this into our studio parts of the music video.

This long shot of the silhouette showing Rihannas body language and outfit is something that we will be adding to our music video. The way the music video is shot in the studio is so simple and I think that the simplicity of the music video is what gives it a strong effect on the audience.

Track Three: Tove Lo - Not On Drugs

The ideas that has influenced my group and I in the music video would be the colour bombs used alongside the camera angle. In this music video Tove Lo is singing about how she is not on drugs.

Although this does not correlate with our music video; we like the idea of having colour bombs towards the end of our music video.
When it comes to editing we plan to use the colour bomb segment into a slow motion piece. Which would give it that serene effect. This will also show a contrast to our previous ideas of black and white silhouettes
and montages in the beginning of the video. These loud colours would express the message that is trying to be portrayed by the singer about not being the jealous type.

Another prop that we may use could be the mini fire crackles. Which would add to the image of overcoming the fact that our music video s about someone being confident within their self and not being the jealous type. These types of props will allow us to convey a fun and active type of character.

J.Cole - Apparently

Something that my group and I will be developing into our own music video will be the idea that there is a projection behind him. This is because it would complement our urban genre of music and allow our artist to have different types of lights behind her. We will be using it to cut in between parts of the song where the artist will be dancing and not lipsynching. This makes our music video visually pleasing.
